Antigua, Guatemala

Went there with no expectation. One of the best vacations we had.  Met our son who was doing a semester abroad. Antigua, is a charming town with moorish architecture.  Courtyards with  charming gardens. Spanish immersion schools every where.

Hawk's eye view

ಗರುಡನ  ಆಗಮನ 

We live on 11th floor. Around 9Am. in the morning a baby Red-shoulder Hawk came and perched outside our window.  Beautiful bird. We took 100 or so pictures and he posed with such grace.

ಮೇಲೊಂದು ಗರುಡ ಹಾರುತಿಹುದು
ಕೆಳಗದರ ನೆರಳು ಓಡುತಿಹುದು
ಅದಕೆ ಅದರಿಚ್ಚೆ ಹಾದಿ
ಇದಕು ಹರಿದತ್ತ ಬೀದಿ

ಇದ ನೋಡಿ ನಾನು ನೆನೆವೆನಿಂದು :
ಇಂಥ ನೆಳಲೇನು ಗಾಂಧಿಯೆಂದು !
ಹರಿದತ್ತ ಹರಿಯ ಚಿತ್ತ
ಈ ಧೀರ ನಡೆವನತ್ತ.
