Green Bangalore
Birds are constantly chirping in Bangalore palace orchards area. Owls at nights, early morning sparrows, Mynahs. Parrots through out the day. I miss the crow I did not hear them much.
Sandoor - Kushala Kala Kendra
My Cousin took me to this art cooperative run by Lambani's deep in the mining region of Karnataka.
Lambani's are farmers, who are from Rajasthan but settled for generations in Karnataka. Whose women do beautiful mirror work and embroidery on their spare time, mostly for their own wear. But now a cooperative is set to give them a commercial outlet. I loved visiting the place. Had the good fortune of great hospitality and company.
Guruvayoor
Drive from Mysore to Guruvayoor is beautiful. You drive through 2 national wildlife reserves, over the western ghat in the luscious green Wynad section of Kerala. Pack your picnic lunch, you will not get anything vegetarian until you hit the temple town!

2009 started with lots of bells and whistles. 2 weddings in the family, got to spend some good time with my mother, mother in law and family in India. Come November and December I needed the wisdom of DVG to comprehend the ways of life. I will miss you VInay. My fondest memories Leelatte.

My mother in law - An amazing lady at 92, reads news paper top to bottom every morning, Razor sharp wit and memory. Loving, Kind and generous. I have learnt some very important life lessons from her.
